Our client, Your Impact:

Our well-funded US client is a data and analytics company transforming how commercial buildings operate. We turn building data into intelligent, actionable insights that improve energy efficiency, reduce emissions, and optimize building performance. They work at the intersection of building systems, automation, and modern data modeling to create smarter, more sustainable buildings.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the data modeling of HVAC and controls data from Building Management Systems (BMS) to ensure accurate and high-quality deployments.
  • Configure and support analytics, KPIs, and fault detection (FDD) features.
  • Analyze building data to improve energy performance and operational efficiency.
  • Review mechanical drawings, HVAC plant schematics, BMS graphics, control drawings, and sequences of operation to ensure accurate system understanding.
  • Understand BACnet gateway installations and connectivity to customer BMS networks to support proper system integration.
  • Use modeling tools (e.g., SkySpark or similar) to organize equipment, points, and system relationships.
  • Apply consistent tagging and data standards to maintain high data quality.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of experience in HVAC, MEP, or building automation/controls.
  • Solid understanding of BMS systems and controls integration.
  • Familiarity with BMS protocols such as BACnet and Modbus.
  • Experience with major BMS platforms (Siemens, Schneider, Honeywell, Niagara, Trane, etc.).
  • Exposure to data modeling/tagging frameworks (Haystack, Brick) is a plus.
  • Experience with analytics or building data platforms (e.g., SkySpark) is an advantage.
