Our well-funded US client is a data and analytics company transforming the way commercial buildings operate. By combining building systems expertise, automation, modern data modeling, and AI-driven insights, they turn complex building data into actionable solutions that improve energy efficiency, reduce emissions, and optimize overall building performance. They are looking for a skilled Building Systems Engineer to bridge technical expertise, customer success, and product innovation by helping customers maximize the value of their smart building solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Drive customer technical success by maximizing platform adoption, strengthening customer retention, and delivering measurable business value through proactive account management, technical expertise, and strategic guidance
• Apply deep knowledge of HVAC, BMS, and building control systems to analyze performance, identify optimization opportunities, and quantify energy and financial savings
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to improve building data integrations, processing workflows, quality tools, and AI-driven platform capabilities
• Translate complex technical insights into clear business value for customers, executives, and internal stakeholders
• Serve as a trusted technical advisor, building strong customer relationships while driving innovation in smart building performance and energy efficiency

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in energy consulting, building systems engineering, or a related technical field
• Strong knowledge of HVAC and building control systems, including chillers, boilers, BMS, and the ability to analyze system performance and identify optimization opportunities
• Ability to model energy efficiency initiatives, quantify savings, and translate technical improvements into measurable financial impact
• Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business value for technical teams and executive stakeholders
• Proven ability to build trust, manage customer relationships, and advocate for customer success and long-term value
• Passion for SaaS, curiosity about AI-driven solutions, strong ownership, and a proactive approach to solving complex technical challenges
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related engineering discipline
• Experience with SaaS customer success, familiarity with SkySpark, or exposure to AI/agentic AI tools is a plus
