Our client, Your Impact:

Our well-funded US client is a mission-driven team united by the belief that technology and innovative problem-solving can address the challenges of scaling distributed energy assets in shared building environments. The team brings together diverse expertise, including backgrounds in real estate development, energy monitoring software, and solar industry operations.

Responsibilities:

• This is a full-stack role, with approximately 60% frontend development (React) and 40% backend/API development (Node.js).
• Partner with Operations and Product teams to uncover pain points, identify improvement opportunities, and design automation solutions that enhance internal workflows.
• Write and maintain clean, efficient, well-documented code that is easy for others to read and build upon.
• Drive improvements to existing platforms and codebases, ensuring stability, performance, and scalability.
• Automate repetitive tasks and processes using appropriate tools and scripting methods to improve operational efficiency.
• Conduct thorough validation and verification testing to ensure software quality and reliability.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant (MA is a nice to have).
• Minimum 5 years of professional, hands-on experience in full-stack development.
• Hands-on experience in JavaScript and modern frameworks (React and Node.js)
• Minimum 5 years of experience with JavaScript and Typescript.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Tech stack:

• Frontend: React/TypeScript
• Backend: Python, Node.js/JavaScript
• Database: PostgreSQL (TimescaleDB)
• Cloud Services: AWS (ECR, Lambda, SQS, and more)
