Our client, Your Impact:
Our well-funded US client is a mission-driven team united by the belief that technology and innovative problem-solving can address the challenges of scaling distributed energy assets in shared building environments. The team brings together diverse expertise, including backgrounds in real estate development, energy monitoring software, and solar industry operations.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and evolve our Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
- Maintain and improve our CI/CD pipelines, primarily using Argo CD and GitOps principles.
- Administer and optimize our AWS cloud environment, including EKS, S3, SQS, IAM, and Secrets Manager.
- Develop automation scripts and tooling, preferably using Python.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth application deployments and reliable operations.
- Monitor system performance and reliability, responding to incidents as needed.
- Contribute to best practices for security, scalability, and infrastructure management.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a DevOps or Infrastructure Engineering role.
- Strong hands-on experience with Terraform for managing cloud infrastructure.
- Solid understanding and practical experience with AWS services.
- Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes, specifically EKS is a plus).
- Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and tools, particularly Argo CD or similar GitOps tools.
- Proficiency in scripting, with Python skills being highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and integrate effectively with a distributed team.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience with Pulumi.
- Familiarity with Node.js/TypeScript application environments.
- Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Datadog).
- Understanding of event-driven architectures (using tools like AWS EventBridge, SQS).
