Job Description: Operations Data Analyst

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive analyses to provide insightful reports for both clients and internal stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain essential metrics and reporting assets that guide strategic business decisions.
• Identify and evaluate data sources that address high-impact requests from business partners and stakeholders.
• Execute quality assurance and user acceptance testing (QA/UAT) while offering feedback on new tools and features.
• Collaborate on cross-functional projects by utilizing data analytics and product request platforms.
• Create and maintain thorough documentation related to reports and data governance protocols.
• Transform intricate data findings into practical insights for operational improvement.
• Utilize advanced Excel capabilities to manipulate data efficiently for insightful analysis.
• Regularly compile reports for internal stakeholders, present findings, and recommend enhancements.
• Become a subject matter expert in community solar and contribute to the development of our knowledge base.

Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in analytics or operations.
• Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Hex, Tableau, or similar platforms.
• Strong skill set in data analysis, manipulation, and problem-solving.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Advanced Excel capabilities alongside a solid understanding of data management.
• Proficiency in SQL for effective data querying and analysis.
• An eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• Comfort in engaging with external clients to present analytical findings.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and delivering innovative solutions.
• Ability to work effectively in a virtual environment, spanning different regions and time zones.
• Flexibility and enthusiasm for tackling challenges in a fast-paced setting.
• A genuine passion for clean energy and making a positive impact on the environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in project management is a plus.
• Experience in the renewable energy sector is advantageous.
• Previous exposure to a start-up environment is beneficial.
• Familiarity with operational processes such as enrollments, billing, and payments will be considered an asset.
• Knowledge in leveraging AI for operational efficiency is a plus.
• Ability to navigate uncertainty and fill in information gaps effectively.
• Experience with dbt or data engineering is desirable.

Work Schedule

• Typical working hours are from 9 AM to 5 PM.
